Hello, I am a 41 year old recovering alchoholic and I suffer from PTSDS and panic attacks.  I can only tell you what I for them, and that is take one moment at a time, just get through that moment...moment by moment and minute by minute but never stop moving on keep going and go to support meetings, I go to AA meetings, you have to reach out for some help.  I am having a hard time with finances and understand how hard it is to make ends meet, sometimes just let go and let  your higher power figure it out, trust that things will be ok and I know it's hard to with so many things to worry about.  I wish the best for you and feel free to message me anytime.

Hello, this is my situation with child support.  My childrens dad abused my youngest child when she was living with him and for most of our time spent with him my older children and I were subject to his violence, verbal/mental/physical abuse and alchohol/drug abuse.  I went to court and easily got custody of my youngest daughter back because her dad would not submit to any of the family relations investigations.  When I was asked if I wanted to collect child support  said yes but I was under the understanding that he fled to Florida to live with his mother (I was told he had a pending warrant from another domestic violence charge on his current girlfriend), but I didn't really know if that was true or not.  I'm not sure if the state of Connecticut is ever going to try to find him for child support or if they ever will as he is very clever in avoiding the law and had been known to work under the table at various times.  My oldest daughter is afraid of him coming back because she is terrified of him , we all stick together and don't let my little one out of our sight because we are afraid that he will try to kidnapp her as he already tried to do this once.  Nobody really knows where he is and he likes it that way.  I don't really have any point here, just feel like maybe perhaps it we try to get child support out of him he will get angry and so something to us, or maybe no one can find him to get him into court for child support anyway.  I'm very thankful to have my daughters medical bills paid for with help from my state as she suffers from serious mental illness, post traumatic stress disorder (we all have) from the abuse she has witnessed and been made to be a part of and she has been in and out of the hospital for 2 years now.  I had to quit my full time job to be with her because I have to be here, I never know what to expect on a daily basis, she has had reactions to medicine and she has had violent episodes.  The child support would really help us to survive as right now my older two are helping support the house, but what is the lesser of two evils?

Hello, I'm just going to say it.  I am 41 year old recovering alcholic, sober for 2 years now.  A single m, I have 3 children, two of them are grown and still live at home and I have a 10 year old that suffers from mental illness and some medical problems I am not quite sure of yet.  I have had to quit my full time job as an inspector because of my youngest daughters' doctor's appointments and also she has had bad reactions to medication and problems in school, I was constantly leaving my job to take care of these issues and employers don't like that, I can't blame them.  I didn't get fired, I resigned because I knew she needed my attention.  I am currently trying to secure a part time job as a pca in my own town so that I will not be very far from my daughter and her school and it will enable me to be home when she gets home from school, she has been in and out of the hospital for 2 years now, I am dedicated to making her better.  My oldest two help me out with the house and bills and I am very proud of them.  I bought a used car with my income tax refund and I found out that I had 750.00 in back car taxes from 2001-2002, a time when I was active in my disease and didn't pay my bills due to irresponsibility.  I was able to register the car for 60 days but I know i'll never come up with that money by then.  I realize I need to ask for help or my registration will be pulled.  That is it, thank you for your time.
